A good landlord should...
The landlords should take time to select tenants because they have to think of tenants living in area because of the difference between semi detached blocks of flats with one main door or four in the block.
The landlords must be more responsible for tenants they put into areas that do not suit the area because it causes conflict right away with tenants who are already in the area.
Make sure that when tenants move in they understand that there are rules and regulations in order to protect other residents i.e., I am a private landlord not a social landlord.

A good landlord should...
Give back to the ordinary decent tenant the happy restful housing schemes the older generation have grown up in.
The Warden system has been a good idea in areas of north Ayrshire it should be extended.
Re-house local Police in the town, with an Office.

A good landlord should...
Be in full control of all houses let by the Council, with total control of which tenants should receive a council house.
Our scheme consists of 9 Streets and approx 1000 residents. A mix of half and half Council Tenants and Owner Occupiers.
I have stayed in the same house in Dalry for the last forty years, and enjoyed most of those years, until the last ten years the young peoples behaviour has deteriated with the taking of Drug has escalated.
The Type of people being housed in the scheme has gradually got worse. Either the old are dying or moving because of bad neighbours, our scheme seems to be getting full of drug addicts and criminals thus making the remaining tenants suffer.
Over the past ten years the council, has greatly improved the facilities in the council houses, but has let the decent tenants down by housing criminals, and perverts among us.
Who makes the decisions to bring these sort of people from all areas of Scotland to Dalry. It is very hard for people to get a sleep at the week-ends due to the bad element we never see until late at night and early mornings.
The drug users and pushers seem to know the system and how to beat the system of getting a council house.
At one time decent young couples put their names down for a council house and waited, but in the present day they have to wait a lot longer while the criminals and drug addicts seem to get first choice.
I think the council know all about the above problem, but their hands are tied by other departments.
Our other big problem in the Blair scheme is the lack of facilities for the young people to enjoy any sporting activities, therefore forces them to use the garage areas and roads as play grounds, therefore making life hell for the Decent Residents.
